The Authority recommends that New Zealand Police review whether the 'Previous attempts or threats to commit suicide' option in the dropdown menu under the 'Mental Health risks' section of the ECM evaluation adequately reflects when someone has made a recent suicide attempt or a suicide attempt immediately prior to coming into Police custody.
