The Independent Police Conduct Authority is an independent body set up by Parliament to respond to complaints against the Police and independently investigate serious incidents involving Police employees.

We are looking for a proactive team player to join our Resolution group and provide support to assist us with our complaint management process. You will support our Resolution and Investigation teams by:

  • Undertaking database checks for all matters referred to the Authority for assessment.
  • General administrative functions for the operational teams.
  • Collation of information for triaging of complaints.
  • Distribution of incoming correspondence on Police investigations, including emails.

 This position could be suitable for either someone returning to work or just launching their career.  Either way, to be successful in this role you’ll need the following:

  • Experience using MS Office products and familiarity with databases
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
  • Cultural awareness and recognition of Te Tiriti o Waitangi as New Zealand's founding document
  • Have integrity as a core value

We are looking for a strong team player who is flexible and works collaboratively in a team environment. In return, we will provide you with on-the-job training and coaching to help build your skills, knowledge and experience in complaints management, engaging with a diverse range of people and sharpening your assessment and written communication skills.
