The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into a notification from the Royal New Zealand Police College that an off-duty recruit allegedly made unwanted advances towards a fellow recruit and assaulted two other recruits while socialising together.
A criminal investigation determined there was insufficient evidence to charge the recruit. However, Police took appropriate employment actions against the recruit and the Authority agrees with the outcome they reached.
