The Authority oversaw a Police investigation where an off duty Police officer had a fight outside a bar in Nelson on 30 October 2022. Police arrested the intoxicated officer and summonsed him to Court. He pled guilty to fighting in a public place and completed diversion.
The officer was also subject to an employment process.
The Authority agrees with Police actions and decisions regarding this matter.
