The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into a complaint where it was alleged an off-duty officer from Manukau physically assaulted his ex-partner and damaged her phone in May 2022.
The Police investigation found there was insufficient evidence to charge the officer. Police concluded that the officer breached their Code of Conduct.
The Authority is satisfied that the Police investigation was thorough and reached appropriate conclusions. An appropriate employment sanction was imposed.
