The Authority oversaw a Police investigation from Tasman District into an allegation that a Police employee did not honestly answer questions in their Police pre-employment application.
The Authority agreed with a recommendation following a criminal investigation by Police that a criminal charge be laid. Ultimately, Police decided it was not in the public interest to charge the employee. As a result of an employment process, the individual is no longer a member of Police. The Authority agrees with the employment outcome.
