The Authority oversaw a Police investigation where an officer had crashed a Police car while on duty. The Police investigation found the officer was distracted when he missed a turn, crashing into an electricity box and a fence. The Police car was written off, but no-one was hurt.
Police charged the officer with careless driving, and he was subsequently convicted and fined. He also received an employment outcome. The Authority agrees with both outcomes.
