The Authority oversaw a Police employment investigation where a Masterton Police officer had an inappropriate relationship with a vulnerable woman he dealt with in a professional capacity. The officer also committed a breach of a Covid-19 lockdown rule.
Police found the officer’s actions were below the level of behaviour expected by Police employees and amounted to misconduct. The officer has resigned from Police.
The Authority agrees with the findings and actions taken.
