The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into a complaint alleging a Bay of Plenty officer breached COVID-19 vaccine certificate orders.
A criminal investigation determined the officer had breached the COVID-19 Order, but in line with the Police response to similar incidents, the officer was not issued an infringement notice.
An employment process found the officer’s actions breached the Police code of conduct, and they were sanctioned for their actions.
The Authority is satisfied with how Police conducted their investigations and the outcomes they reached.
