A person was assaulted by their ex-partner who also damaged their car which had to be repaired. Due to an error by the Police Prosecutor, insufficient reparation was sought from the Court which left the victim out of pocket.
Following discussions with the Authority, the Police have now apologised to the victim and paid them compensation.
