The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into a pursuit in Wellington District where it was alleged officers used excessive force in arresting the driver. They also investigated whether officers acted unprofessionally when the driver was taken back to the Police station.
Police conducted both a criminal and an employment investigation and found there was no wrongdoing on the part of any of the officers involved. The complaint was not upheld.
The Authority is satisfied with the Police investigations and the outcomes they reached.
