The Authority oversaw an investigation into an allegation an officer was involved in inappropriate sexual relationships with members of staff under his command. The investigation also considered whether the officer failed to respond to claims of bullying raised by an employee and whether the officer was involved in bullying and harassing employees.
Police undertook an employment investigation and during the process, the officer resigned from New Zealand Police. The employment investigation concluded that all allegations against the officer were to be upheld. The Authority agrees with the Police findings.
