Police review decision to issue a trespass notice

Between mid-2019 and early 2020, Police responded to a number of incidents in Waiuku Forest. After attending the most recent incident, a person was trespassed from the forest.

Following discussions with the Authority, Police reviewed their file and found there were several flaws in the process of issuing the trespass notice. Police acknowledged these, withdrew the trespass notice and apologised to the complainant for issuing her with the trespass notice.
