The Authority oversaw a Police investigation following an allegation that a male was sexually assaulted by a police officer as he was being restrained and removed from a hospital in the Bay of Plenty Police District. The allegation was denied and there was no evidence to corroborate the male's account. The Authority agreed with the Police view that no further action was necessary.
