The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into an alleged conflict of interest, where it was claimed a Police officer in the Bay of Plenty District investigated an offence reported to him by someone he knew personally. Police carried out an employment investigation and found the officer's actions did amount to a conflict of interest. He was dealt with through a confidential employment process. The Authority agreed with Police actions.
