Why do Police sometimes get to see a copy of the report relating to my case before I do?

As the Authority deals with complaints against Police, the officers involved are entitled, by law, to see any adverse comments that the Authority intends to make against them. As part of this process the Authority receives submissions from those who are adversely affected and considers these before finalising its findings and releasing its public report.
