The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into a series of allegations that a Police officer’s behaviour breached Police policies because he was not keeping separate his personal and professional activities.
The allegations covered a range of issues from secondary employment and use of Police resources to managing conflicts of interest.
Police found that the officer’s actions had created both perceived and actual conflicts of interest and had also breached specific policies, affecting trust and confidence in the officer’s ability to perform his role.
Police carried out an employment process to address the officer’s behaviour. We agree with that process and the outcome reached.
