A person called Police after being robbed when he went to collect a smart phone he purchased via Facebook. Police spoke to the victim the next day who provided information which could be used to identify the person.
There was a delay in the Police investigation and they failed to adequately respond to the victim’s requests for updates. Following a complaint being made to the Authority, Police confirmed they are continuing to investigate the robbery, and also apologised to the victim for the delays in updating him.
