The Authority oversaw a Police investigation into missing cash that had been seized from a man in Waikato District.
Property, which included a backpack and $437 cash, was seized from the man when he was arrested for family harm and drug offending. After a Court outcome, the property was returned to the man, but he complained the cash was missing. Police reimbursed the $437.
Police determined that there was no proof staff had taken the cash. However, a number of staff received employment outcomes in relation to breaches of policy around cash and exhibit handling.
