We don't have the power to prosecute or bring disciplinary proceedings. However, we may hold the Police to account and influence their response to a complaint by:

• making findings about the actions of individual Police officers and issuing public reports
• recommending criminal or employment proceedings
• recommending improvements to Police practice, procedure and policy
• identifying training needs.
