The Authority is a small, focused organisation dedicated to providing effective, independent oversight of Police.

The Authority employs 25-30 full-time staff. It has a combination of part-time and full-time staff, with a small number of contractors.

The Authority’s staff include investigators, lawyers and analysts, and communications and support staff.

The Authority’s offices are in central Wellington.
